Dr. Kim's vision is to build a practice where she provides the high quality of care that she would want her family and friends to receive.
Having trained at some of the best institutions, Dr. Kim is fortunate to be connected with world experts in various GI specialties and often discusses complex cases with them. She is committed to being a lifelong learner and shares that wealth of knowledge with her patients- whether it be the latest research in the connection between IBS and the microbiome, or the latest research on foods that can decrease the risk of colon cancer.
And importantly, Dr. Kim has exceptional endoscopic skills that she has honed through her years of doing emergency endoscopic procedures for high acuity patients in the hospital and ICU setting.
Lastly, Dr. Kim practices what she preaches in terms of prioritizing healthy habits no matter how busy life gets and feels that there is a certain authenticity in the way she advocates for her patients' health.

Fees/Insurance
Katherine Kim, MD Gastroenterology is out of network for all insurance plans. This allows Dr. Kim to truly spend time listening to her patients and provide the quality of care that she knows her patients deserve. On request, a superbill can be provided so that patients with a PPO plan can submit bills to their insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Additionally, any labs, prescriptions, imaging, and endoscopy center fees may be covered by your insurance. Our office will help navigate that as every insurance plan is different.
